Kristin Cavallari gave fans a rare look at her daughter’s face. In a year-end social media post, the “Dancing with the Stars” season 13 alum shared photos of her friends and her kids, and fans were surprised to see a shot of her daughter, Saylor James Cutler, with her face visible.
Cavallari shares three kids with her ex-husband Jay Cutler— Saylor, 8, and sons Cameron, 12, and Jaxon, 9. The mom of three has always been extremely protective of her kids’ privacy and usually hides their faces in photos posted to social media.
Fans Reacted to Kristin Cavallari’s Photos
In a multi-photo Instagram post shared on December 28, Cavallari posed for photos from a night out with pals Justin Anderson and Austin Rhodes. Photos taken at home included a photo of Cavallari’s daughter, Saylor James, preparing to cook on the stove. The side of Saylor’s face could be seen in the photo.
Another pic showed her son Jaxon cutting out sugar cookie shapes, but only the back of his head was shown. But another photo in the slideshow featured Saylor sitting in the stands at a Nashville Predators ice hockey game with her face visible. The 8-year-old had the words “Go Preds” on the side of her face and she wore a yellow hockey jersey.
In the comments section, fans were quick to point out that Cavallari showed her child’s face in the photo.
“This is new, showing her kids now, and they are adorable!” one commenter wrote.
“She’s shown Cam a few times, but this is the first time seeing Saylor,” another noted.
“Saylor is such a cutie!” another chimed in.
“She is your mini me for sure ❤️,” another fan wrote to Cavallari.
“I love that we’re getting to see more of Kristin’s kids! She’s so beautiful,” another fan added.
Cavallari previously explained to People magazine why she hid her children’s faces on social media. “If I post them, it’s of the back of their head or something to that degree,” she said in 2018. “When they’re old enough to decide if they want a camera following them around that’s one thing.”

Cavallari first showed one of her children’s unblocked faces in an Instagram story in September 2024. Her son Cameron’s face was visible while the two made a batch of pumpkin spice syrup together.
Cavallari later revealed that she was bombarded with DMs from fans who let her know that her son’s face was shown on camera. “I know,” she said in a follow-up IG story. “He’s a little bit older now and he wants to be on social media, which is the only reason why I showed him.”
“The only reason I haven’t shown my kids is because I wanted to give them the choice when they got older,” Cavallari added. “And he’s 12 going on 28 so he is mature enough to make that decision now. But I appreciate everyone looking out.”
