So the Kyle and Jackie O Show stars jumped on the trend, hosting their very own doppelganger showdown on Thursday’s episode.
Dozens of hopefuls turned up to prove they were the spitting image of Henderson, 49, or Sandilands, 53.
Sandilands was left stunned by the calibre of Jackie O lookalikes who entered.
“I was thinking there would be fat Jackie from 2022, or drug-addicted Jackie? But no, I think they’re all quite lovely,” he said.
A parade of Henderson doppelgangers streamed into the studio, ranging in age and style, but all bearing a striking resemblance to the radio queen.
The shock jock, however, had one gripe when he looked at those claiming to be his identical twins.
“Only two blokes look like me,” he said. “I suppose when you’re plain like Jackie, every b**** looks like you, but when you’re rocking around like me, it’s few and far between.”
In the end, a contestant named Jaime scooped the $1000 prize as the best Sandilands impersonator, while Chloe claimed the crown in the Henderson category.
The competition comes amid a surge in similar events worldwide.
Just last weekend, separate competitions were held in Melbourne and Sydney for Jacob Elordi and Heath Ledger lookalikes respectively.
Earlier this month, Humboldt Park in Chicago was flooded with over 50 Jeremy Allen White lookalikes, all vying to prove they were the perfect match for The Bear actor.
Ben Shabad, 37, took out the top prize in front of hundreds of cheering fans.
“I’m so happy,” the mental health therapist told the Chicago Sun Times earlier this month.
“This is the coolest thing I’ve done all week.”
Weeks before that, Timothée Chalamet caused chaos when he made a surprise appearance at his own lookalike contest in New York, The Guardian reported.
The actor posed for photos with his curly-haired clones, some of whom were dressed as his most famous characters, including Willy Wonka and Paul Atreides from Dune.
Fans travelled from across the US for the event, with Staten Island college student Miles Mitchell ultimately winning with a purple Willy Wonka costume.
But the day wasn’t without drama.
The unpermitted gathering at Washington Square Park was shut down by police, with organisers fined A$769 (US$500) and at least one doppelganger handcuffed.
