Telly favourite Kym Marsh faced up to her first Christmas without her late father David - paying tribute to him and her son, Archie, at a difficult time for the star.
Morning Live presenter Kym, who previously starred in Coronation Street and began her career in the band Hear’Say, suffered the loss of her dad in January, making the Christmas and New Year period a doubly difficult one. Her son, Archie, was lost in February 2009 at 21 weeks old after being born prematurely.
Kym, 48, shared a moving video with her fans showing her family releasing a helium balloon into the sky at Christmas. It contained the words ‘Merry Christmas to Archie and Dad.’

And she shared the story of her terminally ill father’s passing with viewers of Morning Live, with scenes showing him in The Cavern Club in Liverpool, where David had performed music on the same stage as The Beatles in the 1960s.

In a previous Instagram post, Kym has shared images of Archie and candles, marking Baby Loss Awareness Week.

I am a mummy to an angel baby and I am forever grateful to have had him in my life no matter how short a time. Let’s stand together, lift the taboo and break the silence of babyloss. Sending love to all #babylossawarenessday."

They included Michelle losing baby Ruari with Steve MacDonald, famously played by veteran Simon Gregson.
