Lala Kent’s Former Podcast Co-Host Reveals Why She ‘Had No Other Option’ Than To Leave

The truth will set you free, and Jessica Walter is trying to fly like a bird. You might not recognize her name right away, but she’s Lala Kent’s former podcast co-host. She’s finally speaking out about why she mysteriously vanished from Lala’s show.

Last year, the Vanderpump Rules star broke the news that Jessica would no longer be a part of her podcast. She barely explained the exit, and for longtime listeners, that just didn’t add up.

Now, Jessica has her own podcast, and in the first episode, she set the record straight. According to her, she was left with no choice but to exit her role.

Jessica thought she’d work with Lala Kent “forever”

The way Lala gave a non-explanation when Jessica left the podcast, we knew it would only be a matter of time before the truth came out. Seriously, the original statement was so vague that it made the situation seem worse.

Lala simply said, “My ride or die Jessica is no longer going to be working for me and she will no longer be on the podcast. My relief is that she is going to go spread her wings and fly.”

In Jessica’s new solo endeavor, The Date My: Podcast, she kicked things off by addressing the elephant in the room. Her side of the story about her exit from Lala’s world was still a little vague, but it did make it clear that this split wasn’t amicable.

“I was not at all expecting to leave,” Jessica began. “That wasn’t the plan. I thought I’d be at that last job forever.”

As Jessica tells it, working with Lala was her life’s work. She said she “invested” her entire professional life into it. She was fully ready to climb the corporate ladder at Lala Kent Enterprises. Then, it all went downhill out of nowhere.

“What happened is I said how I felt about the way some things were being handled, and the response I got to that was, in my opinion, not good. Honestly, I was taken aback,” Jessica recalled.

“I was heartbroken at, you know, at those responses,” she continued. “So, I sort of found myself in a position where I felt like I had no other option than to choose to leave.”

So, what exactly were those “things” that she felt some sort of way about? We’re not sure. Jessica kept those dirty details under wraps but teased that she might share more later down the line.
