The NFL inspires some strong feelings in fans around the world and, it turns out, also Lasik, the company specializing in vision correction via shooting your eyes with lasers.

Lasik.com took to social media to take a potshot at NFL referees during Sunday's Wild Card game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers.
The vision correction company posted a video of a contested play on Twitter/X, saying "No DPI called here?... Better Vision. Better Calls. Literally offering Free LASIK to all NFL refs."
Strong words from a laser company, but Lasik actually backs up their words. As referenced in the post, the company actually does offer free corrective treatment to professional sports officials, presumably a cheeky marketing gimmick.
The company's website states "Better Vision, Better Calls. Enhance Your Vision. Enhance Your Game. The LASIK.com Network is offering FREE LASIK for referees across Major League Sports, because well, you may need it and we believe in elevating your game."
"Applicants must be referees or officials actively involved in officiating games within the NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, WNBA, MLS, NWSL, or USNT," the fine print to the offer reads. "Candidates should be in good overall health and free from any medical conditions that may pose risks or contraindications for LASIK surgery."
"Referees and officials must undergo a comprehensive LASIK examination conducted by LASIK.com doctors to assess their ocular health and suitability for the procedure."

Green Bay's playoff hopes were dashed early in a 22-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Wild Card round.
The Packers' day began with disaster: Keisean Nixon fumbled the opening kickoff, leading to an Eagles touchdown. Jordan Love threw two interceptions and missed a field goal, leaving Green Bay scoreless at halftime.
Head coach Matt LaFleur was blunt: "When you come into somebody else's house against a really good football team, you can't start the way we did. It was obviously too much to overcome."
Despite a strong defensive effort, the Packers couldn't recover. Philly's defense intercepted Love twice in the first half and forced a turnover on downs late in the game.
Jalen Hurts, back from a concussion, threw two touchdowns, including a memorable 24-yard strike to Dallas Goedert, who stiff-armed his way to the end zone. "That was my favorite touchdown of my career," Goedert said.
While Saquon Barkley rushed for 119 yards, Love struggled with three interceptions and two sacks. "It just comes down to executing and making plays out there, and it just wasn't good enough," Love said.
The loss was compounded by injuries to key players, including Elgton Jenkins and Romeo Doubs. The Eagles advance to the divisional round, where they'll face the winner of Minnesota vs. Los Angeles.
