Lauren Goodger has remained quiet after ex Mark Wright revealed he is having a baby with wife Michelle Keegan.

The married couple revealed the sweet news in a joint Instagram post on Sunday evening, which showed the former Coronation Street actress cradling her bump on the beach. They captioned the upload: "2025 is going to be a special one for us…" alongside a baby face emoji and a white heart emoji.

But things could have been different, with Lauren and Mark previously sharing an on-off relationship for over 10 years. While Lauren has so far stayed silent on the news, she previosuly made several poignant admissions about her time with Mark. While speaking with dating expert Paul C Brunson on his We Need to Talk podcast, she claimed the duo's separation 12 years ago had "broke" her and left her feeling like she was "never going to love anyone else".

She confessed: "I never ever thought I was going to love anyone else. I was with him for 12 years on and off. It wasn't a smooth sailing relationship. We broke up a few months here, got back together, but we grew up together. We grew up. He was the love of my life. We wouldn't have stayed together for that long if he didn't have this mutual feeling for me."

Following a bit of a backlash online regarding her comments, a source told OK! how Lauren's comments hadn't sat too well with Mark and Michelle, both 37. The insider claimed: "It's not that Michelle can't sympathise with Lauren or is cross with her, she doesn't know her at all, but she doesn't like what she reads when Lauren talks about her. Mark also gets annoyed and he's very protective of his wife and family. He doesn't like them being brought up by Lauren, especially as it was so long ago. It's ancient history for him."

Lauren, who began her relationship with Mark at the age of 15, spoke with Paul, who is a Married at First Sight expert, and said she respected the fact Mark had "moved on with his life", but added: "I don't think that sort of love from childhood goes away. I would love to say, 'Hey, how are you? All good?' We don't speak."

The duo almost had an awkward run-in a week ago as Mark celebrated his dad's birthday with his family. The family had pulled out all the stops for Big Mark's birthday bash at Sheesh in Essex, with James Argent on hand to provide the evening's entertainment. However, the festivities took an unexpected twist when it was discovered that Lauren was also at the venue. Mark's sister Jess Wright was seen making her way into the popular Essex venue, passing Lauren's parked Range Rover on her way in.
