Bronny James Jr. is officially a Los Angeles Laker, and after a small pre-season debut, he’s finally entered his first NBA season. No one could be as excited as his father, LeBron James who said being able to play with his son “means everything to him.”

Ahead of the two making history as the first father-son duo in NBA history to appear in a game together, the two teased the moment in a new Nike ad.

In it, King James brings out his goofy side by pranking and hazing Bronny ahead of last night’s season opener. Bron fills Bronny’s Lamborghini truck with a truckload of Fruity Pebbles and as soon as the rookie opens the door, they spill into their driveway. In a meme-worthy reaction, LeBron reminds the “rook” that he better not be late before pointing out he needs to clean his driveway.

“Clean up my driveway, it’s a mess,” says Lebron with a smile.

One thing that shines in the ad is that despite the hazing, Lebron’s having a blast with his son.

More of that fun was on display last night when Lebron and Bronny hit the court together for the first time.

The two Los Angeles Lakers were both on the court during the second quarter and Lebron reflected on the moment in a postgame news conference.

“That moment, us being at the scorer’s table together and checking in together, something I will never forget,” ESPN reports LeBron said. “No matter how old I get, no matter how my memory may fade as I get older or whatever, I will never forget that moment.”

As for Bronny, he told reporters that he was focused on his gameplay, but felt the love from the fans.

“I tried not to focus on everything that was going on around me and tried to focus on going in as a rookie and not trying to mess up,” said Bronny. “But yeah, I totally did feel the energy, and I appreciate the Laker Nation for showing the support for me and my dad.”
