Liam Payne confessed 'massive' regret after waking up in pain from 'wavy' night

1 month ago 12

Liam Payne admitted one huge life regret years before his untimely death.

In a tattoo tour video for GQ, Liam pointed at a quote on his arm: “This tattoo down here, which says: “Everything I wanted but nothing I’ll ever need,’ I made it up actually. So, yeah! I’m deep,” Payne joked to the camera.

While talking about four large, thick arrows on his forearm Liam explained: “This is like my third or fourth tattoo. The story behind this one, every time I’ve done this I’ve probably been at least a little bit drunk or wavy in one way, sense or another.”

“I go into the tattoo shop and I thought: ‘I’m just gonna get something, whatever it is,” so I start Googling random stuff. I’m like: ‘Ah, that’d be cool,’ and the guy put me on the front desk, so I’m lying face down on the front desk of the shop, and then he put the design on but I didn’t have the heart to tell him it was too big.”

Payne said that he was “nervous” as his tattoo artist was a “big tattooed biker guy”. Liam said he thought “screw it” but woke up the next day “in a little bit of a haze” and “didn’t remember what was going on” but “knew his arm was really hurting”.

Liam said that through flashbacks of the night before he looked down at his arm: “I was like: ‘Oh my god,’ and this was the only tattoo that I Googled ‘How do you remove tattoos,’ and in the night time we were performing on The X Factor America and this is my singing arm!”

Payne joked that he “forgot it was his microphone arm”. The One Direction singer said that while watching Liam on the television, his father turned to his sister and said: ‘I hope they’re bloody stickers!”

The singer said he regretted the tattoo “massively” but learned to accept it as a “scar or a memory of something he’s done”. Eventually, Liam’s tattoo became the logo for his fashion range and branded it “one of the best mistakes he’s ever made”.
