Liam Payne's medical cause of death has now been confirmed in a UK inquest.
This comes after the singer suffered "multiple traumas" after a fall from the balcony at the Buenos Aires hotel in October last year. Dr Roberto Victor Cohen has now confirmed his medical cause of death as "polytrauma", which means multiple traumatic injuries.
Back on December 17, a hearing took place at Buckinghamshire Coroner's Court and it was announced it may take "some time" to ascertain how the 31-year-old died.
Five people have been charged over the One Direction star's death after he fell from a third-floor hotel room balcony of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires.
This includes the Casa Sur Hotel's manager Gilda Martin, receptionist Esteban Grassi and Liam's friend Roger Nores. who have been charged with manslaughter.
Two others, hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra and waiter Braian Paiz, have also since been charged with supplying cocaine.
It has also now been revealed that the tragedy could've ended very differently as he almost checked in to a lower floor room. Liam Payne's close pal, Roger Nores, was shown a first-floor room that he "liked a lot".
However, the singer ended up staying in a third-floor suite where he unfortunately fell to his death after a night of drinking and drug use. Liam ended up going into room 310, instead of 110, which Roger originally preferred.
This information was written in an internal hotel memo which was published by Argentinian media. The author of the note also interestingly referred to his friend Nores as his manager, despite the businessman's denial of such a role.
Liam's death has devastated millions of fans across the globe and the singer leaves behind a seven-year-old son called Bear, who he shared with his ex-girlfriend Cheryl Cole.
