Liam Payne's funeral is to take place today in the Home Counties, as the One Direction singer is laid to rest following his tragic death in South America.

The 31-year-old tragically passed away on October 16 after he fatally fell from the third floor balcony of his hotel room in Argentina, as an autopsy revealed that he suffered internal and external bleeding as a result of the fall.

The singers funeral has been kept relatively private, but it is understood that just his closest friends and family will attend the ceremony.

Former One Direction members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson are expected to all reunite after a decade apart for the occasion, in which Liams family and friends will say their goodbyes, reports the Mirror.

The ceremony will be completely private and closed off to the public, as the singer will be buried in one of the Home Counties. The Home Counties is the counties of England that surround London - Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent and Surrey.
