Liam Payne's heartbroken girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, has been seen in public for the first time since the One Direction star tragically died last Wednesday.
The actress, 25, left Argentina just two days before the singer plummeted to his death from the third floor of the Casa Sur Palermo hotel on October 16. Liam and Kate had been on holiday together for two weeks before she flew back home to Florida. Today, Kate cut a sombre figure as she stepped out to visit the pet store with friends.
Before Kate, Liam revealed that he had been stuck in a "negative pattern" with finding love. The dad-of-one previously admitted that he wasn't "very good with relationships" and always found himself unintentionally "hurting" the ones he loved. His split from Maya Henry saw her issue a cease and desist letter over his 'obsessive' contact. However, he seemed happy with Kate.
Following his devastating death, Kate and some of Liam's ex-girlfriends, including the mother of his child, Cheryl Tweedy, have spoken out and shared heartbreaking tributes to the beloved star. Here, the Mirror takes a look at the touching words his past loves had to share with the world...

Taking to Instagram, she said: "Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way. I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real. I ask and pray that you'll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private."
In a touching tribute to Liam directly, she said: "Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam." Kate and Liam met in a scenario straight out of a rom-com, when the then-ordinary waitress served the megastar at a bar in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2022.
Cheryl Tweedy

The Girls Aloud star begged for some kindness and respect to be shown for Liam as she highlighted the harsh reality that both she and their son now face.
Her post read in full: "As I try to navigate this earth-shattering event and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I'd like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being. Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7 year old son.
"A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again. What is troubling my spirit the most is that one day Bear will have access to the abhorrent reports and media exploitation we have seen in the past two days. It is breaking my heart further that I cannot protect him from that in his future."
She added: "I am begging you to consider what use some of these reports are serving, other than to cause further harm to everyone left behind picking up the pieces. Before you leave comments or make videos, ask yourself if you would like your own child or family to read them. Please give Liam the little dignity he has left in the wake of his death to rest in some peace at last. Thank you, Cheryl."
Cheryl and Liam first met when he auditioned for the X Factor in 2008 at the age of 14. The pair would not become a couple until years later in 2016 and dated for two years until they split in 2018 after welcoming now seven-year-old Bear in 2017.

In a statement shared on her Instagram Stories, the 36-year-old social media influencer, who met Liam when she was a backing dancer on X Factor, said she is grieving and needs time to do so privately. Danielle, who dated Liam for two years between 2010 and 2012, urged her fans to take care of themselves and promised to "share more" about her feelings when she feels "mentally strong enough to face the reality of what's happened."
She wrote: "Over the last few days I've been trying to process the news of Liam's death. Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to call, text, or DM sending condolences and offering support. I'm so grateful and it's helped more than you know. In time I will share more, but right now I don't feel mentally strong enough to face the reality of what's happened.
"Like all of us, I too am grieving, and need to take some time to do that privately. It's a heartbreaking time, which has already been made so much more challenging due to receiving negative and misinformed comments as well as pre-conceived judgement from those who don't personally know me, Liam or anything about our relationship over the last 14 years."
She concluded: "I will be back soon when I'm ready, but until then please take care of yourselves and each other." In 2022, 10 years after splitting up, Danielle and Liam reconciled, and were seen leaving the Nobu Hotel in Shoreditch, London, together. They were also spotted together at celeb hotspots Chiltern Firehouse and Annabel's.
A number of Liam's grieving exes are yet to speak out about his devastating death. Between 2013 and 2015, Liam dated school friend Sophia Smith. Then in 2018, he was rumoured to be seeing model Cario Dwek. In 2019, he reportedly enjoyed a brief romance with supermodel Naomi Campbell, but their romance quickly fizzled out.
