CCTV footage capturing the moment Liam Payne fell to his death will be examined by police.
The former One Direction singer tragically died aged just 31 last month. He fell from the third floor of a hotel. An autopsy ruled that Liam had died instantly after his fall which caused "multiple traumatic injuries" and subsequently led to "internal and external haemorrhage."
Earlier this week, judge Laura Bruinard who is overseeing the investigation ordered police to gain statements from the main suspects involved in Liam's death. She also ordered that the Special Technological Investigations Division of the Superintendency for the Fight against Cybercrime of the City Police to carry out a further 22 examinations on different phones and electronic devices held by the suspects and witnesses following a series of raids.
Local media claims that an analysis has been ordered on a three-terabyte Western Digital hard drive, which had been handed to police by the Sacro restaurant, located next to the CasaSur Palermo Hotel where Liam had been staying. The One Direction singer had reportedly consumed drugs and alcohol before his tragic death.
Infobae claims that the singer fell over the balcony and hit his head on the base of an umbrella in the restaurant area. Now, police will examine the moment which captured Liam's heartbreaking death as the footage has not yet been part of the extensive investigation carried out by prosecutor Andrés Madrea.
