Lil Uzi Vert’s upcoming album seemingly has a song called “Chill Ebro” on it — presumably because of Ebro’s recent comments about whether or not they became a rockstar.
Uzi posted what appears to be the tracklist for their forthcoming project, Eternal Atake 2. Most of the tracks are covered by expensive jewelry — but one song that's clearly in view is track 15: “Chill Ebro.”
The reveal that there’s a song on the album dedicated to the radio personality comes weeks after Ebro spoke on a panel about Uzi. The radio host recalled their tense 2016 conversation about the art of rapping, and Uzi’s potential for success — revealing that now, in 2024, Ebro doesn’t believe that Uzi lived up to their potential.
“I love Uzi Vert. I feel like he still hasn’t become the rockstar he said he would become, though. I’m still waiting,” the radio personality claimed.
“Maybe I took it literal, but the rockstars that I know, they were selling out MetLife Stadium,” Ebro continued. “They could sell out Madison Square Garden eight, 10 times. They got hits on the radio, everywhere. Songs is everywhere.”
He wrapped up his critical analysis of Uzi’s potential with a direct message to them. “Where you at, my guy? Where you at, bro?,” he asked. “Didn’t he just retire, too? Wasn’t he just like, ‘Yo, I’m tired, I’m done.’ Come on, son. You supposed to be a rockstar. What happened?”
Ebro was singing a different tune back in 2020 shortly after Uzi released their Eternal Atake album that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Ebro posted on X (then Twitter), “So glad I pressed Uzi Vert 4yrs ago… He proved me wrong! Exactly what I love…,” he wrote. “Hope more artists do the same when I question your talent or skills.
Uzi, for the most part, wasn’t tripping off of Ebro’s old comments, telling their fans to forgive the radio host for hating on them because “He old.. He don’t know no better.”
