Songstress Lily Allen has reportedly plummeted into depression and struggled to be "interested in anything" after a shock split from actor husband David Harbour.
She confirmed the news earlier this month, and is now reportedly enrolled at a £8,000 per week residential retreat in the USA to receive therapy.
Express has approached a representative for Lily for comment.
The 39-year-old split from Stranger Things star David, who is ten years her senior, after discovering that he had allegedly joined celebrity dating app Raya.
A source reportedly told MailOnline that she'd made the decision to check in to the pricy trauma clinic in the best interest of her two children - 13-year-old Ethel and her 11-year-old sister Marnie.
They exclaimed: "She wants to make sure she’s feeling physically well again so she can be there for her daughters as the best mother she can be." The source continued that flying home to Brooklyn after work commitments elsewhere had been "triggering" for Lily, due to the close proximity to her estranged husband, with whom she still shares a house.
Feeling "wobbly" and "desperate to escape" while David was spotted out on the town smoking cigars, she is said to have left for the clinic just a day later, after returning the kids to their school. She will be having "intensive group counselling sessions" with other trauma survivors, as well as personalised one-to-one therapy, the source has reported.

The news follows a previous announcement that she'd be taking a three week break from Miss Me?, the podcast she shares with Miquita Oliver (the daughter of TV chef Andi Oliver, who was once a singer herself) - and saying goodbye to her mobile phone.
She was open about her mental health crisis with listeners, revealing that she was "spiralling" and adding: "I’m finding it hard to be interested in anything. I’m really not in a good place."
"I came to the Miss Me? Christmas lunch and had a panic attack and had to go home and then I went to see something at the theatre the other night with my friends and I had to leave at half time," she continued.
"I can’t concentrate on anything except the pain I’m going through. It’s really hard."

Lily set the record straight on rumours that she was heading for drug rehab and was adamant that, despite her grief, she'd "not relapsed".
She continued: "I have seen some horrible blind items on the internet that I was found in a crack den by my husband being surrounded by men.
"I don’t know who is spreading these vicious rumours but it’s not true."
Blaming social media for distracting and distressing people due to the rise of malicious gossip, she added: "What I’m very excited about where I’m going over the next few weeks is that I’m not allowed my phone."
