Lily Allen's fans are worried after she posted a "depressing" message.

The singer sparked worry among her followers after sharing a snap with a gloomy caption. She took to Instagram with two mirror selfies, flaunting a black London-themed cropped sweater and a chic black leather skirt, all topped off with her distinctive fiery bob.

Her post read: "Bitta retail therapy for the most depressing Monday of the year," leading concerned fans to swamp her comments with messages of support. One adoring follower expressed: "HUGS Lily I hope you are ok considering everything it will get easier and you have fans who are on your side."

Meanwhile, another chimed in with encouragement: "You got this Lily. You have a pure soul people who can't see that or don't hold that with the greatest of care are not worth your time."

Fans poured their hearts out and rallied around Lily after she appeared downcast. One fan gushed: "You always look seriously cute. Whatever your hair colour, casual, smart or out out! Thinking of you, sending lots of love and hugs because listening to the podcast today was hard, hearing you upset. I don't believe headlines. Just know that there are 'normal people' out there that really do care and respect you. Try not to feel alone. The papers may be trash but people on here are not, we mean what we say. These messages of solidarity come amid rumours about Lily's marriage with Stranger Things' David Harbour. Fans have also noticed Lily's missing wedding band in recent snaps – adding more fuel to the fire.

A source told the Mail: "Lily was looking for women that were on Raya and cross-referencing them with women David follows on Instagram to try to figure out who he was seeing. She has never even looked at anyone since she met David. She is devastated. He broke up with Lily a month ago."
