The world always feels a little dimmer when we lose a star we’ve grown up with. On Jan 12, 2023, the world was saddened by the loss of Lisa Marie Presley, the only child to King of Rock ‘n’ Roll legend Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley.
“Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie,” the family said in a statement to CNN via a representative. “They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.” Prior to the announcement of her death, Lisa Marie was hospitalized after falling unconscious due to an apparent cardiac arrest, TMZ first reported.

Lisa Marie is survived by her mother Priscilla, along with her three daughters Riley and twin girls Finley and Harper.

Just two days before her tragic death, Lisa Marie attended the 80th Annual Golden Globes Awards in support of Elvis. At the event, she saw Butler win Best Actor in a Drama Movie. “Thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me,” he told her and Priscilla during his speech. “Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you forever.”
