The 22-year-old athlete posted the photos — which included a picture of a crowded Bourbon Street with a broken heart emoji over it — hours after a suspect rammed his truck through the busy New Orleans hotspot, killing at least 15 and injuring dozens more.

One of the photos Dunne shared via her Instagram Story on Wednesday featured her and Skenes, 22, posing in a New Orleans bar alongside Skenes' Pittsburgh Pirates teammate Bubba Chandler and Allie Enright. In another snap, the NIL icon shared a photo of Bourbon Street filled with New Year's revelers. She placed a red broken heart emoji over the image.

Skenes and Dunne met at LSU, which is in Baton Rouge — roughly an hour's drive from New Orleans.

In the day and a half since the harrowing attack on Bourbon Street, the suspect behind the wheel of the car was identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old U.S. citizen from Texas whose brother told The New York Times that Jabbar had been radicalized.

In remarks made by President Joe Biden, Jabbar had "posted videos to social media indicating that he was inspired by ISIS, expressing a desire to kill."

An ISIS flag was fitted to the truck that plowed through Bourbon Street in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

Jabbar was killed in a shootout with police following the attack.
