Singer Lizzo has shown off the latest progress of her incredible weight loss journey, just weeks after revealing that she'd achieved her "weight release goal".

The Juice singer wowed fans after sharing a new Instagram photo on Wednesday in which she sported some black lingerie. In response to the snap, fans were left in awe of her transformation, with some revealing that they'd been encouraged to embark on their own journeys. "Omg! She has literally never looked better. She's inspired me to get off my fat a** and get to the gym today. What a woman," wrote one.

The post comes one year after Lizzo announced that she'd be embarking on a health and wellbeing transformation. Speaking at the time, the Good As Hell songstress shone a light on her "intentional weight-loss" journey.

"I am actually on an intentional weight-loss journey right now. Even at the end of my weight-loss journey, I'm not going to be considered thin by any means. I will still be considered morbidly obese on the BMI. And little bros on the Internet are still going to call me big backed. But I will be happy," she explained.

Since then, Lizzo has given fans updates regarding her progress and last March, the Grammy Award winner told the New York Times that she was embracing "body neutrality" and added that the way she felt about her body every day. At the time of the interview Lizzo wasn't on tour and was instead using her time to do things that made her good, such as exercise. “I’m taking the time every day to put some love into my body,” she said. “There is never a day when I regret taking a walk or doing some Pilates.”

When it comes to exercise, the About Damn Time star has also shone a light on her secret to pushing through workouts. In a TikTok video from October, Lizzo filmed herself working out on the Stairmaster as she explained how she stays motivated. “I was doing Stairmaster today, and I was doing a higher level than normal,” she began. “Sometimes when you want to give up, it's really just because you've been pushing yourself too hard. Don't give up, just take it easier on yourself.”

Throughout it all, Lizzo has remained open about the realities of her lifestyle changes. In one candid TikTok video, the singer revealed how she was having to remind herself to show herself some compassion after a day didn’t turn out as she’d hoped. “I over ate yesterday and I'm feeling really bad about it,” she wrote. “I’m trying to remind myself that my body needed that nourishment.” She added: “If my body deserves comfort, then my brain deserves comfort, too.”

She has also humorously responded to allegations that she’d leaned on medication to help reach her goals too. Addressing the rumours in September, she joked: “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after five months of weight training and calorie deficit.” Around the same time she shared a glimpse of her progress thus far and shared a video featuring old and new clips. “Fine both ways,” the caption read.

One year after embarking on the change, she shared the exciting news that she’d reached her target and had shed 16% of her body fat. “I did it. Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal. I haven't seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals,” she revealed.

In response to the milestone moment, fans flocked to the comments section to show their support for the star. “Amazing Lizzo!!! It’s so hard to keep being consistent and still keep to an adjusted diet and push through your day to day life without breaking. I’m so proud of you mama! Your mental focus is on lock!!!,” wrote one.

“This is what happens when you trust the process - a true lifestyle change no fad diets and quick fixes. This wasn’t just physical, it was mental and emotional as well. #welldone @lizzobeeating,” added another.
