Former Made In Chelsea star Louise Thompson has appeared to confirm her brother Sam Thompson's split from girlfriend Zara McDermott as she revealed her stance

Louise Thompson seemingly confirmed her brother Sam Thompson's split from Zara McDermott.

Sam and Zara, who have been together since 2019, have reportedly called time on their romance. Sam, who hosted the I'm A Celebrity spin off show this year, recently declared 2025 would be a "good year" but did not address the reports.

Love Island star Zara hasn't commented on the split reports either. But Sam's sister Louise has suggested the pair have gone their separate ways - and hinted she won't be 'dropping' Zara as a friend.

The former Made In Chelsea star is close to her sibling Sam and was regularly seen with Zara. They even live next door to one another in their lavish London homes.

Louise hasn't officially commented on the split, but she shared a post to Instagram showing a 'bury and burn ritual' in her garden following "one of the best and worst years" of her life. One fan decided to ask about how they will move forward after Sam and Zara's split.

A social media user said: "Hope you don't just drop Zara." Louise, who went to Zara's birthday lunch just a few weeks ago, suggested there would be a future friendship with Zara as she 'liked' the post.

Another fan claimed: "Liking this comment has basically confirmed the split for us all!!" Sam and Zara were last seen together in December celebrating Zara's birthday, with Sam calling her his "soulmate" and hinted at a potential engagement in a sweet post.

At the time of Zara's birthday, Sam wrote: "My best friend, and soul mate....some would say my person. I'm afraid you're stuck with me forever happy birthday. I love you so much, and wow have I missed you over the past month! Here's to another amazing year with you."

A source told MailOnline of their reported split: "Zara and Sam's relationship just never had felt like it was heading for the long haul. They never really recovered from Zara's cheating, most couples would have struggled lasting for as long as they did afterwards.

"Zara had some big making up to do, especially with Louise, she really wasn't happy when Sam took her back. But she managed to make it work and they had some great times together again, but it just felt like it was never going to be truly serious. They were delaying the inevitable for several months as they had drifted apart and their lives had become very different."

In 2019, Zara cheated on Sam with Brahim Fouradi, a music industry executive who has worked on talent shows such as The X Factor as part of his duties as AandR director at Simon Cowell's company Syco. It happened on the 2019 edition of The X Factor: Celebrity.

Sam initially ended their relationship in September 2020 after learning about the affair. Zara admitted to being unfaithful in now-iconic scenes shown on Made In Chelsea which aired in 2020, but he decided to take her back.
