Matthew Perry’s mom believes the late “Friends” star had a “premonition” shortly before his death.

“He went through a period, interestingly enough, just before he died when he was showing me one of his new houses,” Suzanne Morrison recalled to Savannah Guthrie on the “Today” show Friday.

“He came up to me, and he said, ‘I love you so much, and I’m so happy to be with you now.’ … It was almost as though it was a premonition or something.”

Morrison, who is married to longtime “Dateline” correspondent Keith Morrison, shared that she “didn’t think” anything of her son’s sweet comment at the time, though it did strike her as slightly unusual.

“‘How long has it been since we’ve had a conversation like that? It’s been years,'” she remembered thinking.

“I think there was something; there was an inevitability to what was going to happen next to him, and he felt it very strongly. But he said, ‘I’m not frightened anymore,’ and it worried me.”

Guthrie’s full interview with Suzanne, Keith and other members of Perry’s family is scheduled to air on “Today” next Monday, which will mark the first anniversary of the sitcom star’s untimely death.

Perry died in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on Oct. 28, 2023. He was 54.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office subsequently revealed that the cause of death was the acute effects of ketamine, with drowning and coronary artery disease being listed as contributing factors.

Prior to his death, Perry had publicly stated that he was sober after battling addiction for decades.

However, LA prosecutors said in August that the Emmy nominee had relapsed and started “spiraling out of control” with his unsupervised use of ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic.

Five people — including his personal assistant, doctors and a drug dealer — were subsequently charged in connection with Perry’s death.
