Maura Higgins' defiant message about Olivia Attwood as 'feud' blamed for Pete Wicks split

Maura Higgins has 'no issues' with Olivia Attwood amid claims of a 'feud' between them.

The Love Island star's ex Pete Wicks recently announced a new collaboration, hosting The Sunday Roast on Kiss FM UK starting March 2, 2025. This partnership comes shortly after Pete's reported split from Maura Higgins, who was rumoured to have had a feud with Olivia.

The tension between Maura and Olivia has been evident for some time. Back in November, Olivia hinted at a potential exposé, suggesting she had information that could "blow your f***ing mind," leading many to believe she was referring to Maura.

Olivia claimed that 'someone' was imitating and copying her every move. Although it has not been confirmed who Olivia was targeting on her Instagram stories, her online tirade comes shortly after Maura, 34, - who recently joined the same PR firm as Olivia. Sharing the cryptic message with her millions of followers, Olivia wrote: "One day I'm going to write a book and some of the stuff I have managed to keep quiet on over the years. It will blow your f***ing mind. You can try to hire all the same people, regurgitate my stories as your own, study the playbook, follow the recipe blah blah blah, but it will NEVER taste the same. That's all."

A source close to Maura has now told The Sun: "As far as Maura’s concerned she doesn’t have any issues with Olivia and will always make an effort to say hello if they ever are at the same parties or red carpet events.

"Any time there’s been a suggestion of a feud or competitiveness it has always baffled Maura. They are on their own journeys and not involved in each other's careers, but she of course hopes the respect she feels for Olivia is mutual.”

Maura and Pete's split was announced earlier this month, on Valentine's Day. Their romance has reportedly come to an end after a series of stormy rows, before they ever went public. The pair are said to have known each other for six years but only started dating in 2024. Reports suggest that the breakup followed allegations of infidelity on Pete's part, though neither party has publicly commented on the claims in detail. Maura became "suspicious" of Pete after reportedly seeing messages from other women on his phone.

The Love Island star, 34, was said to have been devastated by the discovery and ultimately called it quits on their whirlwind romance. She appeared to fall head over heals for the Strictly Come Dancing star, 37, after they were spotted on a string of secret dates last year. Maura even gushed about their connection while in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle as they appeared to be stronger than ever. Pete headed to Maura's native Ireland over Christmas and the couple enjoyed multiple romantic getaways together. However, it wasn't meant to be as they called it quits on their love story.

"She knew she’d never be able to feel like she could trust him - even if the messages were all innocent, it’s not something she could get past. She didn’t want to be constantly worried about what her man was doing," a source close to Maura told the Sun. They explained Maura had "remained coy" and is determined to move on from Pete without bad-mouthing him.
