Maya Jama reacted to speculation about her relationship with footballer Rúben Dias this week.

It's been reported that Maya, 30, and Rúben, 27, have been dating for a couple of weeks. The Love Island host and Manchester City player Rúben are said to have met at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Manchester in November. The pair are thought to have spent New Year's Eve together and more recently Rúben's post celebrating the New Year fuelled speculation of a romance. He shared a photo of two people cosied up together whilst watching a sunset.

Neither Maya nor Rúben have confirmed a romance, though she reacted to commentary related to the speculation this week. The Masked Singer panelist responded to a series of posts by an account on the platform X on Tuesday. Addressing reaction to Zendaya's apparent engagement to fellow actor Tom Holland, the account had posted about people who "sit on the net all day and obsess about people they don't know and their relationship." Maya shared the tweet with screenshots of previous posts by the account.

One previous post was a reaction to news of a 'relationship' between Maya - who split from her ex Stormzy in July last year - and Rúben. Beside laughing emojis, the account replied: "She don't rest." They later wrote in a post: "Women who jump from relationship to relationship are scary."

Sharing the screenshots alongside the account's post about people 'obsessing' over other people's relationships, Maya wrote: "Oh [laughing emojis] ... but .. [shrugging emoji]." The account later responded: "Lol hi Maya! Saying you don't rest once is not obsessive. Good sense of humour though." Maya has been romantically linked to Rúben recently, after reportedly meeting at the MTV EMAs at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester on November 10. The relationship is said to have then gone "up a gear" the following month.

It was reported earlier this month that Maya and Ruben enjoyed a dinner date on New Year's Eve with one of her pals in Ibiza. As previously reported, they were said to have been seen in a blurry snap that surfaced on social media. Since then, it has been claimed that Rúben "jumped at the chance" to celebrate the New Year with Maya after an injury ruled him out of several matches. A source told the Sun: "[They] swapped details at the EMAs and have chatted since, but things went up a gear in early December."

The source added: "Spending New Year's Eve together was a real step forward in their relationship." The source went on to claim that Maya and Rúben "get on really well" and "make a gorgeous couple," but said that "it's early days". Amid the speculation, Maya is returning as host of Love Island: All Stars for its second series, which launches next week. Ahead of the launch, the presenter has teased that she's interested in pursuing a career in acting in the future.

As reported by the Sun, she has revealed that she has ambitions to explore acting. Maya - who previously had a role in Netflix's the Duchess - said: "I think I just want to enjoy the year and be open to all opportunities. I'd like to explore acting as well, just to put the feelers out there."
