Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have vowed to remain in the US and will fight off any attempts to remove them from their Montecito home.
Sources close to the Sussexes confirm that they've made their American residence a permanent fixture and will fiercely oppose any deportation actions from US president Donald Trump who was inaugurated yesterday.
Rumours have circulated about Trump's intentions to remove the former royal couple from the States but the Duke of Sussex remains unfazed by these whispers.
One insider confirmed: "There are no plans [for the Sussexes] to move from the US" While another added: "Harry and Meghan feel at home in California and they won't be leaving there without a fight."
The second source continued: "They have a very good legal team, and they have a lot of support behind them to ensure that they will be able to remain in the United States."
At 40-years-old, Prince Harry is embroiled in a legal tussle over his immigration status in the US after confessing to historical substance use in his tell all memoir Spare.

The Heritage Foundation, known for its conservative stance, has called for scrutiny of Harry's immigration records, arguing that his admission of drug use should disqualify him from entering the US.
The latest judicial ruling has protected Prince Harry's visa records from exposure, a decision which could potentially be overturned now that Trump has reclaimed presidential power.
Trump has never held back his view on Harry, asserting earlier this year: "I wouldn't protect him. He betrayed the Queen. That's unforgivable. He would be on his own."
Despite this stance and Trump's previous threats to expel Harry from the US, sources confirm that the Sussexes remain unbothered.
The source said: "Harry and Meghan are not fazed by the comments Trump made because they believe they have done everything correctly".
They also noted that with Meghan being a US citizen and their son Archie currently enrolled in school, it seems unlikely the family would uproot from their Montecito home, where they settled after stepping down from the Royal Family in 2020.
However, Harry and Meghan have recently branched out and purchased a £3.6m villa in Portugal near Princess Eugenie's home but the source insists their new abode is not intended to be a primary residence.
They said: "The villa in Portugal is more an investment than anything else and construction hasn't even been completed yet.
"It hasn't been purchased as a new home, but more as a holiday retreat and something they can put their money into to protect their assets."
