Meghan Markle's friend reveals secret photo of Archie and Lilibet by accident

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's private Christmas card that only their friends and family received has been revealed by accident. The card features an adorable snap of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

In December, fans got a glimpse of the couple's children in their official Christmas card, which was sent through their Archwell Foundation. The children were photographed from the back, rushing into their parents' arms.

But it was reported at the time that a second private card had also been created and sent to Harry and Meghan's close family and friends. However, fans spotted the secret card in a picture that features alongside an interview with Meghan's close friend Gloria Steinem, reported The Mirror.

Celebrated equal rights activist Ms Steinem features in an article inside the magazine Architectural Digest, alongside snaps of her brownstone townhouse in New York. A photo of her office, which is in the corner of her living room, shows a black and white snap of Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet. The family appear to be lying on the ground, with the picture taken from above.

Three-year-old Lilibet smiles widely while Archie places a hand across his mum Meghan's face. The Sussexes are known to be protective of their children's privacy and avoid putting them in the spotlight.

Last year a friend of the Sussexes told People how Harry wanted to protect his children by keeping them out of the public eye.

They said: "Harry has been reluctant to show his children publicly, not out of a desire to hide them but to protect their privacy and safety from potential threats.

"He wants them to lead as normal a life as possible without the fear of kidnapping or harm."

The friend added: "Harry is determined to ensure that history doesn’t repeat itself," referring to the death of Princess Diana.

Earlier this year, fans got to hear Archie and Lilibet's voices for the first time in a heartbreaking video on her new Instagram account.

In January, the Duchess of Sussex revealed that her pet dog Guy had sadly died, 10 years after she rescued him. Paying tribute to the beagle, she posted a video made up of multiple never-before-seen pictures and videos of Guy with her, Harry and the children.

Archie holds Guy on a leash as they enjoy a sunny walk in one adorable moment. Another snap shows Meghan holding onto Lilibet, three, as the family's dogs naps around them on a picnic blanket.

In another clip, Archie's voice can be heard saying: "He's going to fall" while he sat in the car with his mum and dog, before Meghan reassured him that the pup was safe. At the end of the video, the voices of Archie and then Lilibet can also be heard as they join Meghan in singing a heart-melting song about Guy.

They can be heard singing: "We love you, Guy! And we'll be true, when you're not near us, we're blue!" But despite hearing the youngsters' voices, their faces are protected.
