Meghan Markle thanked Netflix for agreeing to postpone her new lifestyle and cooking show due to the California fires.
That’s according to a statement released by Netflix, which quoted the Duchess of Sussex as saying, “I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California.”
Prince Harry and Meghan live in Montecito, California. Meghan’s new Netflix show will run for eight episodes and is called, “With Love, Meghan.” The release date is now March 4, according to Netflix.
People Magazine reported that the couple live about 90 miles from Los Angeles. They were photographed visiting the World Central Kitchen in Pasadena, California, “to help distribute food and supplies to victims of the Eaton Fire” on January 10, according to People.
According to People, Meghan and Harry “donated essential supplies, served meals with World Central Kitchen and connected with affected families and elderly individuals.”
According to Netflix, the show was supposed to premiere in January, but it will now stream on March 4.
Netflix describes the program as “a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of Southern California.”
“Produced by Meghan, ‘With Love, Meghan’ blends practical how-to’s and candid conversation with friends, new and old. Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection, and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected,” Netflix revealed.
“I’ve always liked taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it. Surprising people,” Meghan says in the trailer for the show, which was released previously by Netflix.
“This is about connecting with friends,” Meghan says in show’s trailer. “We’re not in the pursuit of perfection. We’re in the pursuit of joy. Love is in the details.” The Netflix trailer page on YouTube now also says the show will stream on March 4.
Meghan Markle Is Joined by Celebrity Guests on the Lifestyle Show
According to Netflix, some celebrities join Meghan on the show.
“In each episode, we join Meghan in the kitchen, garden — and even at the beehive — as she prepares to host friends both old and new,” Netflix wrote.
“Whether Meghan is sharing personal tips and tricks, or taking the opportunity to learn something new, it’s a time for connection. Guests include Roy Choi, Mindy Kaling, Alice Waters, with additional acclaimed chefs and special friends.”
