Michelle Keegan and Lauren Goodger's furious war of words over Mark Wright

Lauren Goodger has never held back when it comes to discussing her ex-boyfriend Mark Wright and it's claimed she's been left devastated after he and Michelle Keegan announced their pregnancy

With Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright announcing their baby news, it's been particularly devastating for Mark's ex Lauren Goodger who has been left reeling over the couple's happy announcement.

Mark Wright and Lauren Goodger dated on and off until ending things for good in 2012, with Lauren left heartbroken as Mark found love with Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan. Just three years later Mark and Michelle were married, with Lauren still referring to her former TOWIE star as 'the love of her life'.

Since she wed Mark nine years ago, the tension between Michelle and Lauren has become increasingly heightened. Lauren has made numerous admissions in interviews and quotes about her former relationship with Mark, including revealing how their separation 12 years ago "broke" her and left her feeling like she was "never going to love anyone else".

Speaking in a bombshell interview, Lauren made several poignant admissions while speaking with dating expert Paul C Brunson on his We Need to Talk podcast. She said: "I never ever thought I was going to love anyone else. I was with him for 12 years on and off. It wasn't a smooth sailing relationship. We broke up a few months here, got back together, but we grew up together. We grew up. He was the love of my life. We wouldn't have stayed together for that long if he didn't have this mutual feeling for me."

Despite the comments coming over a decade after their split, Lauren's words still caused a stir with insiders telling OK! Magazine that her remarks didn't go down well with Mark and Michelle. The source claimed: "It's not that Michelle can't sympathise with Lauren or is cross with her, she doesn't know her at all, but she doesn't like what she reads when Lauren talks about her. Mark also gets annoyed and he's very protective of his wife and family. He doesn't like them being brought up by Lauren, especially as it was so long ago. It's ancient history for him. "

However it's not just fighting talk from Lauren, as Michelle has also made comments in the past towards her husband's ex too. Back in 2011, Michelle made a jibe at Lauren and Mark, who were at the time engaged. Michelle wrote in her Love It! magazine column: "I love TOWIE! It's one of those shows you don't want to watch, but just can't help turning on. I don't know how Lauren can take Mark back so easily, though - it's so cringe! I wouldn't be able to get back with someone who'd slept with lots of girls I knew, but that's just me."

Whilst the comments predate when Michelle and Mark met, as they didn't get together until 2012, it's still been resurfaced. Further drama came in 2014, with Lauren responding to a 'Ask Me Anything' on social media where she stated she made the ‘Wright choice over Mark'.

This time Mark stepped in, as he tweeted his ex furiously: "It’s been well over 2 years and it still continues. I find it so disrespectful to myself but more importantly, my fiancé. Be a proper woman. Please leave me out of your public conversations, stop embarrassing yourself. Start having some respect and MOVE ON."
