Celebrity boxing matches are nothing new, but there's never been anything like the bout airing tonight at 8 p.m. ET on Netflix between 58-year-old former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson and YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul, 27.
Paul has dominated throughout his brief career in the ring, with a record of 10-1 (including seven TKOs). It's an understatement to say he's never fought anyone with Tyson's pedigree, though.
But 20 years removed from his last professional fight, can Tyson still hang with a man less than half his age?
That's the biggest question for the millions who are expected to tune into and/or bet on this spectacle at the Cowboys' AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas this evening.

Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul Fight Status, Rules
Believe it or not, this is classified as a professional fight. It will not, however, feature the same rules as a typical pro bout. Instead of a 12-round fight with three-minute rounds, Tyson vs. Paul is scheduled to go eight rounds of two minutes apiece. The other modification is that both fighters will wear 14-ounce (instead of the usual 10-ounce) gloves.
As for what to expect, this is a tough bout to predict. Obviously, the safe bet is to take the 27-year-old Paul -- whose odds are shorter than -200 at virtually every sportsbook -- to outlast Tyson. The latter's last professional fight, a loss to Kevin McBride, took place back in 2005.
According to sports betting writer Ben Fawkes, this will be one of the most-bet events of the weekend, with Paul drawing the sharp money.
Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul Prediction
Guessing how this will play out is beyond me. That being said, it feels safe to say that if Paul can make this last more than a few rounds, he'll be able to wear Tyson down. After all, conditioning-wise, even the best fighters in the world are a shell of themselves by their late 40s, much less their late 50s.
But an early knockout by Tyson shouldn't shock anyone. At this point, there's nothing new left to say about Tyson's punching power.
It will be fascinating to see whether Paul can stay out harm's way, as he's fought three pros, but no one with a right hand like Tyson's, even at this stage of Tyson's life.
Paul's only three matches against professional boxers came against 23-year-old Tommy Fury in February 2023 (which Fury won by split decision), 35-year-old Andre August last December and 35-year-old Ryan Bourland in March of this year. Paul dropped both August and Bourland with first-round knockouts.
Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul Best Bet
We don't recommend betting heavily on either side of this one, so we're going to throw out a small wager with high upside.
Yes, the (much) younger Paul should win this one if he can drag it out. But Paul on the moneyline at -200 or shorter makes that a hard sell.
A high-upside flier on Tyson to land the 45th knockout of his career is much more tempting, so that's what we'd suggest in a showdown with a million variables.
