Tensions, rifts, and fall-outs of epic proportions are pretty common in the world of Real Housewives. As RHOSLC season 5 brings a newbie, Bronwyn Newport, to our screens, fans are seeing her friendship with Lisa Barlow fall apart. Now, Bronwyn says the ladies “aren’t speaking,” but she’s hoping for progress at the reunion.

While The Real Housewives of New York City ladies are being dubbed “pigeons” left, right, and center, similar tensions are flaring on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City this fall. During SiriusXM’s Reality Checked, Kiki Monique, catches up with RHOSLC’s Bronwyn to get the latest on her relationship with Lisa. It looks like the group trips are taking their toll on some friendships.

Bronwyn and Lisa ‘no longer speak’

Speaking to Bronwyn on the SiriusXM show this November, Kiki tells her how Lisa said she’s “done recommending friends” for the show.

Kiki asks if a “repair in the relationship” is on the cards by the end of season 5.

Bronwyn addresses where she stands with her co-star now: “Lisa and I are not currently speaking, and I think that we needed a little break from each other because she says stuff like that in the press, unfortunately.”

She adds: “We need to take a little time out, and that’s okay. Lisa’s allowed to make whatever choices she’d like. I think we had a really hard time on the show figuring out the dynamic of our friendship in the midst of a group of other women.”

Although the ladies aren’t currently on talking terms, Bronwyn wants to patch things up.

She tells Kiki: “It’s really important to me that we fix it, so I could be real funny, I could be real shady, but I’m gonna save it for now in hopes that we repair it at the reunion and if she doesn’t wanna repair it at the reunion, my mouth can be equally as crazy, Lisa, so watch out. You know what I mean? You choose wisely what you want to do with me here?

RHOSLC star’s husband disapproves

After Lisa and Bronwyn clash during a group trip on RHOSLC, Bronwyn’s husband, Todd Newport, had some words for her.

Speaking during RHOSLC, Bronwyn tells her husband: “I walked away from the trip feeling some kind of way about what’s going on with Lisa and I.”

“In 10 years we’ve been together, I’ve never seen you act the way you acted this weekend… For you to sit in the hot tub and scream back and forth with her, it’s ridiculous,” Todd responds.

“You think I was screaming?” asks Bronwyn.

Todd replies: “I don’t think you were screaming, I was there… I was in the pool, remember?”

Bronwyn’s husband asks her what she “accomplished” during her fight with Lisa and rhetorically answers: “Nothing,” before telling her she “ruined a perfectly nice afternoon.”

Speaking of Bronwyn’s actions, he adds: “Frankly, it’s not very becoming for you.”

In the circumstances of the RHOSLC ladies fighting, Todd suggests his wife “leave with her dignity,” rather than join in with her co-stars.

In a confessional, Bronwyn can be seen holding back tears as she says her husband’s “approval means everything to her.”
