Molly O’Connell is Accused of Cheating on Secret Boyfriend With Shep Rose and Pretending to Be Single to Nab Role on Southern Charm, Get the Alleged Details

Molly O’Connell allegedly had a secret boyfriend when she was cast on the currently airing 10th season of Southern Charm — and cheated on him with co-star Shep Rose.

According to a new report, a man named Mike Fitzgerald has come forward, claiming that Molly, 37, the former sexting buddy of Craig Conover, 35, pretended to be single in an effort to secure her role on the Bravo reality series before violating their relationship by hooking up with Shep, 44.

“I’m the guy she’s been seeing since September 2021. To be clear, it’s Molly O’Connell from Southern Charm. My IG is fitzg2md if anyone wants to dig. You won’t find many pictures of her (few from a while ago) because in order to have a chance of being cast she really needed to be ‘single.’ She [didn’t] ask me. She told me after she had been cast. Real shady,” Mike revealed to Bravo and Cocktails on January 31, via Taste of Reality.

“Honestly, I should have ended things there. But, what can I say[?] I’d been in love with her for years at that point. Red flag city was covered by my rose-colored glasses,” he explained.

During a recent episode of the show, Molly admitted to being attracted to Shep, saying in a confessional, “Shep is undeniably a handsome man. He’s extremely intelligent; He’s very open-minded. Overall, I think Shep is definitely up there for me.”

Meanwhile, according to Mike, Molly was stringing him along amid a four-year romance.

“[I] spent the night at her house just a few days ago,” he alleged, explaining that he thought they’d been “doing really good.”

“[But] she’s been hiding this secret for over 6 months,” he continued. “I helped her move, helped her with her bills, and generally was just there for her. This all came to light last night at 10 pm when I forced her to be honest. The entire season 10 filming, we were together. The Shep bullsh*t is new to me. She cheated on me with the end of filming. Not even sure anyone else on the show knows. They will by end of the day today though. Stay tuned.”

Then, after noting that Molly hadn’t touched an instrument since filming wrapped because she’s “lazy,” Mike said he “got her to admit to cheating with Shep.”

“She wouldn’t have even said anything except the leading up is on camera. They made out on camera (will be in future episode) and that night he went to her house. She swears nothing happened ever again, but, well, who knows. I’m not sure anyone else on the show knows they screwed, but they will by days end,” he revealed.

Southern Charm season 10 airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
