Muni Long Shares Diary Entries About 'Intense Pain' From Marriage

Muni Long felt "ruined" in her tumultuous marriage with RaySean Hairston.

The R&B singer, who shares a 2-year-old son with Hairston, shared a pre-holiday message to fans on Wednesday about the depression she felt in the marriage, recounting a lengthy August 2021 diary entry about their relationship.

In the note, Long shared that she'd gone on a restaurant date with her then-husband, who was "radiating anger and immaturity" at the time, although she claims the date was "his idea." Hairston and Long, real name Priscilla Hamilton, were married for nine years.

"This was the usual with him," she continued. "Extreme mood swings. Brooding. He'll be in his head with his thoughts, steaming, stewing, and then I try to interact with him."

Elsewhere in the letter, Long alleged that Hairston would "curse" at her and have "flirtationships" with women on Instagram.

"The way he was treating me had felt so unwarranted that I decided there had to be something, or someone, that he wasn't telling me about," Long wrote at one point of the entry.

Long captioned the post by sharing that she gets "sad" during the holidays and wishes that "things were different."

"Then I read some of the things I wrote in my diary and I feel disgusted that I allowed this kind of behavior at all," she continued, adding that journaling was a way to deal with her "intense pain" during the marriage.

Long and Hairston announced their separation in August, the same month that the Grammy-winner released her fourth album Revenge.

Long, who's nominated in four categories at the 2025 Grammys, was on The Jennifer Hudson Show this week and shared that her latest album was "like therapy."

"I'm a Virgo ... you know we don't like nobody in our business," she said around the beginning of the video below. "So it was tough to sort of swallow the fact that like I have to write what is most personal to me, but I don't want nobody to know what I'm going through. So I decided to put a positive twist on it and say 'The best revenge is success.'"
