McAnally-Hilgemann Racing driver Connor Mosack, a rookie in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, has earned his first pole position for the Fr8 208 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

This accomplishment comes during the qualifying rounds held on Friday, February 21. Competing in his first full-time season, the 24-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, secured his spot for the main event in the No. 81 McAnally-Hilgemann Racing Chevrolet Silverado RST.

Friday's qualifying process comprised two rounds, each featuring a single-lap session for competitors. Mosack clocked the second-fastest time in the initial round with a speed of 173.104 mph, completing a lap in 32.027 seconds. He went on to set a speed of 173.418 mph in 31.969 seconds during the final round, thus clinching the pole position.

Mosack's feat is especially remarkable as he becomes the second consecutive rookie to secure a pole at Atlanta Motor Speedway, following Daniel Dye's success in 2024.

Reflecting on his achievement, Mosack explained:

"It sounds pretty good. We still have work to do tomorrow but feel really good about the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado that we brought. MHR brought four really fast trucks, so, I feel like we have a really solid team behind us. Hopefully, we can work together tomorrow and keep them up front.

"Bill has built a really strong culture at our team. I feel like, out of all of the teams I've driven for before, all four of us work together really well, and everybody seems to help each other more than I've seen in the past. I think that's a big key to the success they've had in the past, and hopefully, we'll continue to have it all year."

The Atlanta Motor Speedway, with its 1.54-mile track, underwent a transformation in 2022, resulting in pack racing and drafting similar to superspeedway races at Daytona and Talladega.

Joining Mosack on the front row is fellow driver Grant Enfinger, who recorded a speed of 173.007 mph with a time of 32.045 seconds. Daniel Hemric, Rajah Caruth, and Jack Wood follow in the top five.
