Netflix show's voice-over puts people off who've been waiting a year for new episodes

Dubai Bling is back this January and it’s come as a welcome addition to the New Year. It’s safe to say, people have been waiting a long time for new episodes to come out. But, now that they’re here, some are saying they’re seriously “frustrated” with this season – and it’s not because of all the tears and drama.

Safa Siddiqui, Farhana Bodi, Zeina Khoury, Loujain Adada and co are all returning to their hit Netflix show this year. Zeina admits “all friendship groups have problems,” but the fights and fall-outs of this Dubai Bling season could out-do anything we’ve seen before.

What’s with Dubai Bling season 3’s voice-over?!

Dubai Bling season 3 is different from those that came before it due to some cast changes.

It’s clear to see that people are loving the newbies. But, there are more changes to season 3 that people really aren’t keen for.

Taking to X (Twitter) and Reddit this January, people are pretty much outraged by the show’s dubbing and voice-over.

One person writes on a thread: “I couldn’t even finish watching the first episode, it’s crazy how they thought that could sell.”

There’s a way around the dubbing, apparently

As more and more people weigh in on the season 3 editing and voice-over, the complaints sure are stacking up.

Some ask: “Why is everyone’s voice on #DubaiBling being auto-tuned or something? What happened to Safa’s British accent?”

Another says: “They dubbed Dubai Bling even where they speak English…”

More write of the chaotic series: “What is with the voice overs on Dubai Bling? Their original voices were just fine even when they were speaking Arabic.”

Someone else takes to Facebook to share their horror: “EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this Series. The voiceovers are HORRIBLE.”

However, it seems one clever Reddit user has a knack for tech and a way to put everyone out of their misery.

They write: “Switch your sound to Arabic original and it goes back to how previous seasons were – real voices!”

Another solves the problem, writing: “Hey guys, I found it frustrating too but I found a solution! All you have to do is change the language from English to Arabic on the ‘audio and subtitles’ option and you’ll hear their original voices!”

Now, we can all grab the popcorn and totally enjoy the drama!
