A sci-fi thriller series hailed as "better than Black Mirror" has landed on Amazon Prime and is garnering rave reviews from viewers.
Electric Dreams, which first aired on Channel 4 in the UK in 2017, boasts a star-studded cast including Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston, Timothy Spall, Game of Thrones' Richard Madden and Holliday Grainger.
Drawing from the works of science fiction author Philip K. Dick, Electric Dreams shares many similarities with Black Mirror. Both shows are comprised of roughly hour-long episodes that explore the relationship between humanity and technology.
Storylines in Electric Dreams feature aliens using body doubles on Earth, robots and telepathic superpowers. However, the series didn't receive as much acclaim as Black Mirror, which is widely considered one of the best TV series during 2010.
Sadly it was axed after just one season as reported by the Express. However, it hasn't stopped viewers from raving about it online, with one commenting on Twitter: "Been watching Philip K Dick's electric dreams on prime + now."
"I really need to read his written work bc wowwww such a shame there was only one season, it really needs another as it's so thought-provoking + raises a lot of questions surrounding the nature of reality," said someone else.
On Google Reviews, another viewer wrote: "All episodes have famous actors and the storyline pulls you in to the story. A must watch for sci-fi fans."

Another shared: "Better than Black Mirror in the sense that most episodes have happy endings and Black Mirror had only San Junipero in the 1st season. Some of the CGI might not be as good as other shows, but everything else is 5 stars."
Another viewer chimed in: "Electric Dreams in prime giving me Black Mirror vibes with its story telling." Another lamented: "Everyone talks about Black Mirror but no one talks about Electric Dreams and that makes me sad."
Someone else wrote: "If you liked Black Mirror, check out Electric Dreams on Prime. On top of being a sci-fi anthology with strange twists, we also get performances from Anna Paquin, Bryan Cranston, and Steve Buscemi. What more could you ask for?"
