Nicole Kidman has returned to Australia for Christmas, and she’s managed to sneak in a recreation of an iconic Baywatch moment while there.
The 57-year-old Babygirl actress arrived in Sydney earlier this week, marking the first time she has returned since the heartbreaking death of her mother, Janelle Kidman, in September.
While Nicole is there filming her highly anticipated project, Scarpetta, production has taken a brief break for Christmas, allowing the actress to spend some time at the beach.
Wearing a black skintight long sleeve, shorty wet suit, the star enjoyed a dip in the ocean with her husband, Keith Urban, as well as their daughter Faith Margaret, 13.
Showing off her toned arms, legs and waist, the Academy Award winner was all smiles as she ran out of the water onto the golden sand in an act that mimicked an iconic Baywatch scene.
Nicole’s beach day was a family affair, as she was joined by her sister, her sister Antonia and her husband Craig Marran, as well as the couple’s 26-year-old daughter Lucia Hawley.
Nicole, Keith and their daughter are likely staying at their mega penthouse in the city; however, with multiple properties in the New South Wales region, they may spend Christmas Day elsewhere.
The actress’s new series Scarpetta was granted the green light in September by Amazon-owned Prime Video, with the crime drama set to be based on the best-selling books of the same name, written by Patricia Cornwell.
Earning a two-season deal, the series sees Nicole star as the title character, Virginia medical examiner Kay, while fellow Academy Award winner Jamie Lee Curtis will star as her sister Dorothy.
Both actresses will work on the series as executive producers.
Other A-listers joining the cast include Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, Ariana DeBose, Rosy McEwen and Jake Cannavale.
It comes just weeks after the Family Affair actress graced the cover for GQ’s annual Men of the Year, which also included Jude Law, Kobbie Mainoo, Cole Palmer and Central Cee.
In one of the photos, the actress posed in a striking blue skirt and statement white cropped top with her toned arms posed behind her head for her shoot.
In another photo from the once-a-year GQ special edition cover feature, she wore a unique gold gown with black ripped tights, which was accessorised with black heeled boots.
During her interview with the magazine, she spoke about her massive year, which saw her explicit film, Babygirl, released.
The erotic thriller, which also stars Antonio Banderas and was directed by Halina Reijn, has already earned praise among critics with an 81% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, however UK fans won’t get their say until January 10, 2025, when it is released in cinema’s.
Describing the film as being one of her most challenging shoots to date, even in comparison to Eyes Wide Shut, Nicole said: ‘I’m in the whole film [in Babygirl],’ she explained. ‘There are so many close-ups. It’s a full stripping of me.’
Babygirl premiered on August 30 at Venice Film Festival ahead of releasing in UK cinemas on January 10, 2025.
