This is not the way Khloé Kardashian wanted to spend Christmas!

Everything looked to be going fine for Koko on Christmas Eve. Per her Instagram Stories from earlier this week, she was chilling in her little sis Kendall Jenner‘s kitchen, sipping on a glass of champagne, and prepping for Santa Claus to visit. In the short video, she’s wearing a headband with a ball hanging off of it, used for playing the focus game Boxbollen, while in her other hand is a metal spatula. She told her followers:

“Cooking for the family, drinking for myself and playing Boxbollen for [my nephew] Mason [Disick].”

Off camera, she asked her brother Rob Kardashian if he wanted to play, to which he responded that she should open her gift from him. Everything seemed to be shaping up for a fun day with family, but sadly it would all come crashing down. On Christmas Day, the Good American co-founder shared an update — she missed the family’s Christmas Eve party!

While walking on the treadmill in her home gym, Khloé shared that her little ones, True Thompson, 6, and Tatum Thompson, 2, ended up getting sick with the flu. Oh no! She explained in a video on her Stories:

“I didn’t get to make it to the Christmas Eve party, which was a bummer. But it wasn’t really a party this year. It was just us hanging out at Kendall’s house. But still, I was being with my family, but Tatum was super sick the weekend before, but now he’s perfect and great.”

Luckily, Tatum made a full recovery by Christmas. Whew! But True wasn’t so lucky. The mom of two said her daughter’s fever got up to “105” which was “really scary”:

“It was really scary. It was horrible, but now she’s just starting to feel better.”

We’re glad to hear she’s feeling better now, but it was a sad sight on Christmas! Despite this, the 40-year-old did her best to keep up the holiday “spirit”:

“Yesterday, we still all hung out at my mom’s [Kris Jenner]. [True] was sleeping in another room while I was cooking breakfast and all that, because we still wanted to be around the Christmas spirit.”

Khloé said True was feeling so rough during the actual holidays that they had to put off doing “Santa toys” until she started to feel better because she “wasn’t in the mood”:

“That’s when you know your kid is sick, when Santa toys don’t even excite them. Poor thing. But I’m so happy she’s feeling better.”

Aww…

We’re glad to hear Tatum and True are on the mend now, but what a bummer way to spend the holidays! We’re sending love and healing to the fam.
