OnePlus has kicked off 2025 in style with the launch of its new flagship smartphone. OnePlus 13 flaunts a new design and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is Qualcomm’s flagship processor for 2025. Accompanying the OnePlus 13 is the affordable flagship alternative, the OnePlus 13R, which packs last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC under its hood.

OnePlus 13: Specs and Price
The new OnePlus 13 has a massive 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display which can reach a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. In High Brightness Mode, this display can hit 1,600 nits. It supports an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz and is surrounded by uniform bezels on all sides. This panel gets Crystal Shield ceramic glass protection. OnePlus has upgraded the optical fingerprint sensor to an ultrasonic unit on its latest flagship smartphone.
At the heart of the OnePlus 13 lies the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This octa-core chipset is built on a 3nm process. The GPU duties are handled by Adreno 830. There are 3 RAM (LPDDR5X) + Storage (UFS 4.0) options on offer: 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 24GB + 1TB. Buyers can choose from 3 colour options – Midnight Ocean, Black Eclipse, and Arctic Dawn. The smartphone runs Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 out of the box. OnePlus has promised 4 major OS upgrades and 5 years of security patches for its flagship offering.
Moving on, the OnePlus 13 uses 50MP sensors for all 3 of its rear cameras – primary shooter (Sony LYT-808), periscope telephoto lens (Sony LYT-600), and ultrawide shooter (S5KJN5). The 50MP periscope telephoto lens has 3x optical zoom. This rear camera system is tuned by Hasselblad. Up front, the 32MP selfie camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout.
The 6,000 mAh Si/C battery supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. There is support for 10W reverse wireless and 5W reverse wired charging too. The smartphone is rated IP69/69 for dust and water resistance. OnePlus claims it can survive underwater up to 1.5m for 30 minutes.

The new OnePlus 13R, which serves as the company’s upper midrange offering, features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. This display has a 1,264 x 2,780p resolution and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. OnePlus 13R follows the design language of its flagship sibling.
Under the hood, the 13R packs last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset which also powered the OnePlus 12. It is available in 2 RAM (LPDDR5X) and Storage (UFS 4.0) variants – 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB. There are 2 colour options on offer – Nebula Noir and Astral Trail. OnePlus 13R runs Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 out of the box.
The rear camera array of the OnePlus 13R comprises a 50MP Sony LYT-700 primary shooter, a 50MP S5KJN5 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. Up front, the device gets a 16MP selfie camera.
OnePlus’ upper midrange smartphone packs the same 6,000mAh battery as its flagship unit. However, the 13R does not support wireless charging. The wired charging speed on the device is limited to 80W.

OnePlus has also launched a new range of magnetic cases comprising 4 variants – Sandstone, Wood Grain (Black), Wood Grain (Wood Brown), and Aramid Fiber.
