Outlander stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan have opened up about their emotional journey as they wrapped up filming for the final season of the hit show.
The pair, who first graced our screens as star-crossed lovers Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser in 2014, have taken fans on a rollercoaster ride through seven seasons of romance, tragedy, and adventure.
With the eighth and final season now completed, the ending remains one of Hollywood's best-kept secrets. Speaking to Harper's Bazaar, Balfe revealed: "It's been such a strange year. Knowing that it was coming to an end, we all definitely felt heightened emotions at various times throughout the process. Finishing up was so emotional."
The article states that both she and Heughan "Post-filming, both actors embarked on solo spiritual journeys, with Balfe attending a yoga and meditation retreat and Heughan preparing for a Himalayan trek."
Balfe, a long-time yoga enthusiast, shared her training tips after running the London Marathon and raising over £30,000 for World Child Cancer, reports the Scottish Daily Express.
Responding to a fan's query on social media, she advised: "Don't do what I did and half ass training ! ! ! Find a program.. it's A LOT of time but it's worth it ... now I'm back to yoga and Pilates ! More my speed."

Meanwhile, her co-star has been documenting his incredible journey to Mount Everest on social media recently. His legion of fans are growing concerned after his latest video depicted him "rappelling down a mountain at 18,000 feet".
One admirer commented: "I'm glad you are enjoying this. But I'll be happier when you are back on ground level! " Another expressed: "Oh wow! Looks so magnificently beautiful, but also dangerous". The 44 year old Scot has referred to his Himalayan expedition as the "adventure of a lifetime".
