P Diddy will be spending his first Christmas locked up in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center as he awaits his sex trafficking trial, which kicks off in May 2025

It might not be a very merry Christmas for P Diddy this year.
The rapper, real name Sean Combs, is locked up in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center as he waits for his trial in May 2025. Earlier this year, P Diddy was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, transportation and engaging in prostitution.
And while he maintains his innocence and denies all the charges against him, a judge previously detained him after prosecutors argued Diddy was a "serious flight risk". Since then, P Diddy has been visited by his family a number of times as they attended his court hearings – although it's reported he's lost a lot of weight while inside.
But it won't be a family affair for P Diddy this Christmas, as he will be behind bars.
Legal expert James Pipe, from freegrantsforfelons.org, reckons it won't be a Christmas the music star will want to remember. He said: "The stark contrast between Diddy's past life of indulgence and his current circumstances highlights the profound consequences of legal and personal accountability.
"While the festive season might offer moments of muted cheer for some inmates, for Combs, it serves as a reminder of the seriousness of the allegations against him and the impact of his actions on others."
The routine in the Brooklyn jail is set to be very regimented, with a distinct lack of holiday cheer. Meals are said to be "disgusting", which will surely be a far cry from P Diddy's usual life of luxury.
According to TMZ, P Diddy and his fellow inmates will eat "baked Cornish hen, macaroni and cheese, cranberry sauce and dinner rolls". They'll then get a "holiday dessert" – whatever that may be.
According to James Pipe, inmates might get a hot chocolate or a pastry if the facility's budget allows for it.
There may be a glimpse of the festive spirit though, as Christmas movies might be on the cards.
The legal expert says the jail holds a "no frills, no luxury" rule.
Despite his surroundings, it's reported that P Diddy is "well-liked" behind bars. A source told PEOPLE: "People are getting along with him."
Another inmate reportedly said Diddy will likely play basketball on Christmas Day because "he likes it". But it's reported there will also be the option of dominos, footballer and card games.
P Diddy has denied all allegations against him, which date back to 2008. They allege he abused, coerced and threatened women "to fulfil his sexual desires, protect his reputation and conceal his conduct".
He is accused of holding "freak offs", which allegedly saw male sex workers and female victims given drugs for sometimes days-long sexual parties.
His lawyer previously said: "As Mr Combs' legal team has emphasised, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus. That said, Mr Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation."
