That’s hot.
Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, the power duo of early 2000s reality TV, are reuniting for the first time on camera more than two decades since The Simple Life first premiered in Peacock‘s Paris & Nicole: The Encore, a three-part special, set to release on Dec. 12. The series, the trailer for which was released Wednesday, will follow them as they try to produce an operatic performance based on their song, “Sanasa.”
The BFFs became reality TV stars after The Simple Life debuted in 2003. It followed them in their early 20s visiting small rural towns across the U.S., showing the two socialites struggling to do things like farm work and serving meals in a fast-food restaurant. The show ran for three seasons on Fox, before being canceled in 2005. It was then followed by two additional seasons on E!, with the series ending in 2007. Hilton and Richie are now both 43 years old, and each of them is married and has kids.
“In order to write their magnum opus, they must first revisit their past,” says an announcer in the trailer.
In the series, Hilton and Richie recreate moments from the The Simple Life such as working at the fast-food chain, Sonic. They also return to Arkansas and visit old friends. Richie tries to gift one with a “self-care vibrator” until she finds out they “didn’t sell them” in the small town.
Paris & Nicole: The Encore is produced by Fulwell 73 Productions and executive produced by Hilton, Richie, Ben Winston, Sarah Dillistone, JJ Duncan, Emma Conway, Bruce Gersh, Bruce Robertson, Michael Baum and Carrie Franklin. Its co-producers include David Downey and Ashley Baumann-Sylvester.
