Paris Hilton and her nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact have raised $800,000 for Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts.
The media personality and businesswoman, who also lost her Malibu home in the Palisades Fire last week, launched an emergency fund to support displaced families with young children. And in 72 hours, the fund raised $800,000.
Hilton also pledged a $150,000 grant to GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief Fund to provide immediate cash assistance to 150 displaced Altadena families due to the Eaton Fire.
“As a mom, I can’t imagine the pain and fear of not having a safe place for your babies,” she wrote on Instagram last week. “I’m starting with a personal contribution of $100,000, and will be matching additional dollars raised up to $100,000 more. I am looking for others to donate and match alongside me to do our part!”
Hilton previously announced that the donations would go to helping families via the emergency relief organization CORE, short-term housing and hotel stays for families, delivering essentials and supplies to evacuation centers and supporting local animal shelters.
In addition to fundraising, the pop culture mogul volunteered at Baby2Baby and the Pasadena Humane Society over the weekend. She is also fostering a dog named Zuzu who was surrendered to the shelter due to the Eaton Fire.
On Thursday, Hilton returned to see the destruction left behind after a blaze tore through her Malibu home. “I’m standing here in what used to be our home, and the heartbreak is truly indescribable,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “When I first saw the news, I was in complete shock—I couldn’t process it. But now, standing here and seeing it with my own eyes, it feels like my heart has shattered into a million pieces.”
“What breaks my heart even more is knowing that this isn’t just my story,” she added. “So many people have lost everything. It’s not just walls and roofs — it’s the memories that made those houses homes. It’s the photos, the keepsakes, the irreplaceable pieces of our lives.”
