The internet is still trying to make sense of Donald Trump's recent rally in New York City after it went viral for hosting a number of racist moments.
One of those moments came from comedian Tony Hinchcliffe who said, "I don’t know if you know this, but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico."
Now, The View co-host Sunny Hostin has responded to Hinchcliffe's comment on the show. "Puerto Rico is trash? We are Americans, Donald Trump," she said.

Meanwhile, one person used this as an opportunity to highlight Kamala Harris's proposed plan for Puerto Rico, including, "prioritizing disaster relief, healthcare access, and economic rebuilding efforts to strengthen the island's resilience."

On the other hand, not everyone was on Sunny's side. Lots of people seemed to think her comments were unfair since Trump didn't make the joke.

And in a statement, Trump's senior advisor Danielle Alvarez said, "This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign."
