People Are Sharing The Movies We Should Never Remake Because They're Masterpieces Already

"This list cannot be made without it. It is timeless in every aspect, and you will never convince me otherwise. The passion that went into making those three films — from the acting to the screenplay, and even the sets and effects, was made with love. Good acting can always hold up over time. But when the story — which can stand alone even without films — stands up to the test of time because it is treated and performed with such care and love, and when the effects, even decades later, manage to hold up because they were made with such passion for the art, then the project can become timeless. It was said for years that a film adaptation of the Lord of the Rings was impossible because of the story's magnitude, yet Peter Jackson and all the lovely people who worked on the project made it possible. They treated it with such love that it has become timeless. We live in an age of money grabbing, but I honestly believe that any attempt at a remake will either be an utter failure, or at the least will never come close to achieving what they accomplished over 20 years ago."
