For devout fans of the original Jumanji, there might have been a key detail that you missed.
Released in 1995, the movie starring Robin Williams sees a pair of children play a magical board game and end up meeting Alan (Williams) who had long been trapped inside it.
The much-loved film was rebooted in 2017 with an all-star cast: Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan. A Jumanji sequel was released two years later.
Upon its release, many came to realise that Black had long been destined to play the character of Professor Shelly Oberon.
His first acting gig at the age of 13 saw him play a part that was very much similar to his role in the 2017 Jumanji movie - pith helmet and all.
But there's something else from the 1990s movie that some people are only just learning about, and that's a key detail about two Jumanji characters in the first movie.
Jonathan Hyde stars as the dad, Sam Parrish, in the cult classic - but little did people know he also stars as the hunter, Van Pelt.
While the movie was released almost 30 years ago, several Jumanji fans have been left floored to learn that Hyde played both characters.
"I only just realized in Jumanji (1995), the father character and the human hunter are played by the same actor," one person penned on Twitter alongside two pictures of the actor playing both roles.
"F**king right mean i just realized it now," replied someone else.
Meanwhile someone else said that it took them 23 years to make the connection.
Someone else asked back in 2018: "How old were you when you realized the dad on Jumanji was also the hunter?"
"Today years old," a film fan said in response.
Another person admitted that they rewatched Jumanji several times before making the connection.

They penned: "Rewatching Jumanji last week, I was reminded of a detail that I didn't notice the first few times I watched it: actor Jonathan Hyde plays the father and also the hunter within the game itself in the film."
A recent thread on Reddit sparked a discussion on the matter as people shared things they noticed in old movies years after they were released.
"I am pretty embarrassed by how many watches of Clueless it took me to realise it was a modern retelling of Jane Austen's Emma," someone wrote.
A second said: "It was very recent when I learned that Alison from Bedazzled is the same actress Brendan Fraser meets at the end."
