Corgis are known to be adventurous and athletic dogs. These energetic pups have a lot of stamina and love outdoor activities in any weather. Apart from being great partners for short walks and hikes, they are also great for swimming and paddleboarding.
It's also important for corgis to release their energy so they can be in a better mood and happy in their day-to-day environments. However, not all corgis are the same, and you might need to be patient if you want your corgi to be as athletic, or if you want them to get better at a specific sport or activity.
This is the case of Oone Uni, an adorable dog from Singapore that received a lot of attention online after her owners documented her experience swimming. The 1-year-old pup was not a fan of the swimming lessons at first and decided to stay on her kickboard.
Oone wore a cute green vest and a pool noddle around her neck to help her float, but she refused to get in the water like the rest of the corgis. And while she did not have a successful first lesson, online users praised her for her incredible balancing skills and core strength.
"Thinking about the time we paid $50/hour for her to enjoy swimming, only for her to stay on the float the whole time," her owners wrote. "Wow. Her balancing skill is super," one person wrote, while someone else commented, "She’s working on her core!" adding, "She enjoyed it her way haha."
Oone's owners showed more photos and videos of her experience, showing that she eventually decided to try the water and had a lot of fun, even removing her little vest at one point and doing a few laps around the pool.
