Strictly Come Dancing fans are hoping that Pete Wicks has jumped on the first flight to Australia to reunite with Maura Higgins after he was voted out of the BBC competition on Sunday.
Former TOWIE star Pete, 36, had been dating ex Love Island star Maura, 34, for several weeks before they were forced to spend time apart after Maura flew to Australia to take part in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
While in the jungle, Maura confessed that she had been close pals with Pete for five years before embarking on a romance. However, it seems that Pete had made his feelings known to Maura over the years and continued to persist in winning her over.
During an honest chat with her campmate Oti Mabuse, Maura finally admitted that she had been seeing Pete after months of speculation. Oti asked what had changed for Maura in order for her to give in to the reality TV star's advances. And in response, the Irish star simply said: "He wouldn't give up."

PA)Giving an insight into their first date, Maura confessed that she had brought her friends with her as she refused to admit she was in a romance with Pete. She told Oti: "I actually brought my friends with me and I was like 'see it is a friendship date'." The pair then enjoyed another date without her pals in tow as they tucked into oysters and wine during a boozy night out.
After exiting the jungle, Maura showed her loyalty to Pete as she sent him a good luck message ahead of the Strictly semi-finals. Unfortunately, Pete and his dance partner Jowita Przystal missed out on a place in the final during Sunday's Results Show as they lost the dreaded dance-off for the first time.
Now, Strictly fans are hoping that Pete is heading to Australia to reunite with Maura. "I wonder if Pete Wicks is on the plane to Australia already," one questioned. Another echoed: "I wonder if Pete's on the place to Australia already? The #ImACeleb party and Maura are probably waiting for him. #Strictly."

Pete had reportedly told pals that he wanted to 'make it official' with Maura once she leaves the jungle and once they are both free of TV commitments with I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and Strictly Come Dancing.
