Piers Morgan claimed that his alleged stalker has made '64 cases against celebrities in the past year alone'

Piers Morgan has recently claimed that he's in the midst of a worrying stalker ordeal and has slammed the justice system.

Piers has slammed the ins and outs of the legal system for letting him down and allowing the alleged criminal to make wild claims and demand cash without consequences.

The Fox News and YouTube star took to Instagram today and shared a newspaper front cover in which he likened his own experience to the Golden Globe-winning show Baby Reindeer, based on the real experiences of writer and star actor Richard Gadd. A woman came forward to say that the role of the stalker in the show was based on her, and was even interviewed on by Piers on his own show Piers Morgan Uncensored. Now, she’s suing Netflix for defamation and negligence.

Piers seemed to acknowledge his link to Gadd’s self-alleged stalker, and started his post with the words: “I know, I know…. Karma’s a b*tch etc..” He then outlined some elements of his own experience, which he recently described as a woman saying “absurd, complete fantasy stuff and just ramblings” about him.

The TV star slammed courts for not doing their 'due diligence' over his alleged stalker, and said that he spoke publicly to try to give the legal system a 'push' (

“But actually, this story reveals a massive flaw in our court system which is why I’ve chosen to go public about it. This vile woman is a convicted stalker who was jailed in 2007 for her ‘vicious, vitriolic and vindictive’ harassment of a July 7 terror attack survivor. Yet incredibly, she’s been allowed to wage similar sustained harassment of a large number of high-profile people, including me and JK Rowling, without being stopped,” he said.

“She’s filed 64 cases against celebrities in the past year alone, making endless totally fictitious claims about all of us, and gaming the ‘fee remission’ legal system supposed to protect those on low incomes, so we all end up having to pay ££££s to defend ourselves and she doesn’t pay anything. I’ve won two cases against her, and she was ordered to pay £6,000 in costs but I’m sure won’t.. and it’s absurd that the courts don’t do proper due diligence on her to see who she is, and what she is doing. So, I’ve gone public with it, and let’s see if that forces them to do something.”

The former Britain’s Got Talent judge concluded: “To be clear, I’m not traumatised by her, despite the very unpleasant harassment, nor am I requiring any sympathy, but this is all a scandalous waste of court time, and therefore, taxpayer money, and has to stop.”

Piers touched on this point in a recent statement, in which he claimed that his alleged stalker was playing the system for money. “I didn’t want to have to defend it but you have to after being contacted by the court. Otherwise it goes through the court process and you can get a judgment against you or your company — which is what she was trying to do,” he said of the woman’s actions.

The Good Morning Britain alum said that the woman had done the same thing to “so many people,” and described: “It means the cost to her issuing the claims is effectively nothing. The same can’t be said for all the defendants who have to go through the court process then end up paying the costs. She’s abusing the court process quite skilfully, exposing a kind of weakness in the system.”
