We already have an idea of what specs the Tensor G5 and Tensor G6 might have, but the latest leak reveals what camera and video features could be made possible on the Pixel 10 and 11.

On the camera front, Android Authority reports that the Pixel 10’s Tensor G5 will support 4K60 HDR video recording after being capped to 30FPS on the Pixel 9. This brings Google’s device up to par with the competition.

Next year’s chip will also make possible “Generative AI-based Intuitive Video Editing for the Photos app,” which might be some sort of Magic Editor for video. On that note, Google is looking at photo editing features like “Speak-to-Tweak” and “Sketch-to-Image.” Tensor G5 should support on-device Stable Diffusion-based models.

Looking ahead at the Tensor G6, Google wants to offer on-device “Ultra Low Light video” on the Pixel 11 that doesn’t require cloud upload and processing (Video Boost). It’s aimed at recording in a dimly lit room or during dusk with a cloudy sky.

On the hardware front, a “next-gen” telephoto camera is teased, while Google wants to offer machine learning-powered 100x zoom for both photos and videos. Cinematic Blur might support 4K30 with a “video relight” capability to change lighting conditions in video, while video recording with blur will be almost 40% more power efficient.
