Playboy model and a former star on the Russian Bachelor, Veronika Murashkina, has died at the age of 31.
The star had been waiting for a lung transplant before her death after suffering from lung disease. She had spent the last few years bedridden following a car accident.
Doctors had put the star on the urgent waiting list for a lung transplant before her tragic death on Thursday, October 18. Her death was confirmed by a friend of Veronika's, who told local media: "After the serious accident, her leg was literally put back together piece by piece.
"She was treated for a long time, stayed in clinics and recovered. It seemed that her troubles were finally in the past, but then a new one came when the lung disease hit her.

She rose to fame following her appearance on the fifth season of The Bachelor produced by Russian TV network TNT in 2017. She had been vying for the attention of actor Ilya Glinnikov in the reality contest.
Following her time on the show, the Toguchin-native made it into an issue of Playboy. In the shoot, Veronika wore yellow bunny ears and a matching bodysuit while also sporting the classic Playboy outfit.

NX)In 2020, she suffered an horrific car accident as she returned home to see her family. A drunk driver lost control of their vehicle and hit the star and her friends.
She spent months in hospital undergoing treatment after being left critically injured. The accient left Veronika with a badly damaged leg and quickly caused her immune system to weaken. She went on to develop the life-threatening lung disease.
Following her accident, bed-ridden Veronika's modelling career came to an end. Instead, she is said to have picked up handcrafting.
