Following the major update that was the Mythical Island expansion, Pokémon TCG Pocket is celebrating the new year with special rewards based on simple tasks you can perform at the beginning of 2025. The Pokémon TCG Pocket New Year event is taking place from January 1-8, 2025, so you've got plenty of time to log in and reap the benefits of the celebration.
We've broken down all the New Year event missions and how to complete them for their rewards.
Pokémon TCGP New Year Event Missions and Rewards
These are all the missions and rewards for the New Year Event in Pokémon TCGP:
- Log in – Pikachu promo card
- Participate in 1 battle – Mythical Island booster pack
- Participate in 3 battles – Mythical Island booster pack
- Use pack stamina to open 6 Mythical Island booster packs – Pack Hourglass x12
- Wonder Pick 5 times – Mythical Island booster pack
- Send 5 thanks – Mythical Island booster pack
- Collect 100 cards – Pack Hourglass x12
Pokémon TCGP New Year Event Mission Completion Rewards
There are also some bonus rewards based on how many of the above missions you can complete during the event. Completing a set number of missions grants you special rewards as follows:
- Complete 1 mission – Wonder Hourglass x12
- Complete 4 missions – Backdrop (New Year Frame)
- Complete 7 missions – Wonder Hourglass x12
Almost all of these missions can be completed without breaking a sweat. There's only one mission that may require some extra attention, which is to collect 100 cards. Still, if you've collected enough hourglasses, you can use them to skip time and stack many packs to open back-to-back.
