Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's friend reveals where their relationship stands amid divorce rumors

Tyler Perry, close friend of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has spilled the beans on their relationship after the Duke played down suggestions their marriage is on the rocks.

During a recent appearance in New York, Harry laughed off social media suggestions that all was not well between him and Markle.

The speculation stems from the fact that Harry and Meghan have been pictured at separate events in recent months while they work on their own initiatives.

Perry is known to be a close friend of the couple, as he offered them the opportunity to stay at one of his California homes when they first moved to the USA. He is also the godfather to Princess Lilibet.

While at the Paley Honors Fall Gala, Perry shared his thoughts on Harry and Meghan's relationship while speaking with E! News.

"They love each other. They have a beautiful family and I just want the best for them" he said.

"It's a real, pure and beautiful friendship. I love them."

This comes after Harry was asked about his marriage to Meghan during an appearance at The New York Times Dealbook Summit.

"Apparently we've bought or moved house maybe 10, 12 times. We've apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well," he said while being interviewed by Aaron Sorkin.

"So it's just like, what?" he said while laughing. "It's hard to keep up with but that's why you just sort of ignore it." He also stated that he felt sorry for the trolls, whose "hopes are just built and built, and it doesn't happen".

Perry also spoke about the topic in an interview with the Sunday Times.

"But I will say this: what I learnt about mentioning them - because there's this insatiable appetite to know all about them - is that any question that is asked becomes the headline of anything I say," he said.

When asked why there was so much interest in Harry and Meghan, Perry delivered a firm response.

"You're from the UK, you tell me," he said.
